Welcome to The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society!
Celebrating 100 years of symphonic music in Santa Maria.
The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society is built on a rich legacy of symphonic music that dates back to 1925, when the first community orchestra was formed. We proudly continue this tradition, which has been a cornerstone of local culture for nearly a century. Our mission is to enrich our community through the power of music, presenting an annual season of subscription concerts that delight audiences while also nurturing the next generation of musicians through our robust Youth Outreach programs.
As a nonprofit organization, we are sustained by the generosity of our members, donors, and grant support. These contributions allow us to bring high-quality orchestral performances to Santa Maria and to offer valuable educational opportunities for local children. Our Youth Outreach includes the popular Music Van, concerts for fourth graders, and showcases for talented young musicians. We invite you to join us for an upcoming performance, purchase tickets, or make a donation to help us continue this vital work.
